Construction of Gas Engine Cogeneration Plant

The project provides for the turnkey construction of gas-fired reciprocating engine cogeneration plant with an electrical capacity of 9 MW for the combined generation of electricity and heat, and the production of carbon dioxide.

The project includes the commissioning of two stages:

I – stage: start-up of 6 MW electrical installation;
ІI – stage: start-up of 3 MW electrical installation;

Scope of construction stages:

source water treatment system based on reverse osmosis plant;
circulating water cooling system that includes pumping station and cooling towers,
oil system, consisting of clean and waste oil ducts,
ventilation system;
equipment for production of carbon dioxide from the exhausts of gas-fired reciprocating units;
modern process control system based on SIEMENS microprocessor technology;
steam supply system including the installation of exhaust gas waste heat boilers;
chilled 6-12 ⁰С water system with chiller units that run on the heat from gas reciprocating engines water jacket.

This design solution enables, for the first time in Ukraine, to deliver a power facility with a 100% recovery of all combustion products, and concurrent generation of heat, cold, electricity and carbon dioxide, thus, significantly reducing the production costs and harmful emissions into the atmosphere.

Construction of Power Plant to Provide Heat and Electric Power for PuAT Kiev Cardboard and Paper Mill

The project provides for construction of a power plant with the capacity of 39 MW of electricity and 135 tons of heat steam per hour for PuAT Kiev Cardboard and Paper Mill, located in the town of Obukhov, Kiev oblast.

The project includes:

three SGT-400 type gas turbine power plants of Siemens (England) in full factory supply with rated unit power of 12.9 MW;
three heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), with a steaming capacity of 45 t/h, which operating on exhaust heat of gas turbine engines.

Electrical part of the project includes the installation of three 110/10 kV power transformers with a capacity of 16 MVA and the construction of a 110 kV closed distribution unit with gas-insulated circuit breakers.

To compensate for the loss of steam and condensate during the operation and to make-up the heating network the water treatment system is provided for.

Centralized and operating control of the power installation will be performed from a central control panel by an automatic control system (ACS).

Switching of the mill to power supply with the introduction of cogeneration technology will enable to improve the reliability of mill power supply, significantly reduce the cost of staple products and ensure their competitiveness in the market.

Construction of Sulfuric Acid Production Complex for the "Crimea TITAN" Company

The project provides for construction of Sulfuric Acid Production Complex with a capacity of 1,818 tonnes per day completed with a 12 MW power plant for the Krymskiy TITAN Company.

Scope of construction stages:

Sulfur Melting and Preparation Department;
Sulfur Burning and Conversion Department;
Drying and Absorption Department;
Administrative building, control operator's room, blower unit;
Main building (boiler and turbine rooms),
water treatment plant with tank farm, circulating pump station, cooling towers and circulating water piping;
Service Water Booster Pumping Station;
Internal service lines and process piping racks.

As a result of project implementation the Employer will receive a modern, efficient complex for production of sulfuric acid, in combination with a cogeneration plant based on recovery boiler running on waste heat from the sulfuric acid production process and 12 MWel steam turbine.

This design solution will significantly reduce the production costs of the plant and improve the environment of the region.

Upgrading of water pump stations in the city of Chernihiv

The project provides for the implementation of supply and installation of pumping equipment for water pumping stations in the city of Chernihiv, Contract № ChWWP-ICB-07.1SI.

Scope of upgrading work:

dismantling of obsolete equipment of four pumping stations;
Renovation of existing foundations for new pumping equipment and stop valves;
supply of pumps, electrical equipment, ACS hardware, instrumentation and control equipment,, valves;
installation of pumps with piping and valves;
installation of electrical equipment, power cabling;
Installation of ACS equipment, instrumentation and controls;
execution of commissioning package;
Training of Employer’s personnel.

The modernization will provide energy-saving effect, reduce operating costs, lessen the human factor (transfer of pumping stations into the automatic mode), ensure reliable operation of equipment, increase operating life cycle, improve working conditions for personnel and equipment operation.

The works will be carried out as a part of Urban Infrastructure Development Project, financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Extension of service life of Power Unit No.2 piping systems at the OP Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP

The project provides for the execution of "Assessment of the technical condition and extension of the service life of piping systems of the Power Unit No.2 reactor and turbine rooms at the OP Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP.

The project will include:

preliminary assessment of the technical condition of 1194 pipes with the development of a work programme;
inspection of piping systems using NDT methods;
calculations and assessment of the inspected pipes strength;
preparation of a final report with the conclusion on the technical condition and extension of piping service life;
technical support following the operations.

The work is aimed at extending the service life of the Power unit No. 2. piping.

Construction of own power plant for the Novovolynskaya Mine No. 10

Completion of the Computerised Process Control System of the Chernobyl NPP Liquid Radwaste Treatment Plant (LRTP CPCS)

The Project provides for the completion of the ChNPP Liquid Radwaste Treatment Plant Computerised Process Control System.

To complete the CPCS the following work will be performed:

correction of identified shortcomings in the design of CPCS Low- level and additional design of CPCS Low-level;
redesign of the CPCS High-level in accordance for centralization of control and management of various LRTP process systems, improvement of performance and its reliability;
complete revision of the software;
supply of missing and additional equipment, spare parts, tools and accessories, licensed instrument software;
partial removal of previously installed equipment and installation of new CPCS equipment;
development of operational documentation;
training of Employer’s operating personnel;
functional and integrated tests of CPCS.

The project will allow to install new up-to-date equipment of the Lower and Upper level of LRTP CPCS to computerize units that have not been included in the control algorithms of the original project. This equipment will enable to operate the plant with a high level of safety for the environment and the work of the staff.
