Project Management

When creating a Project Management System we have used the best modern standards and guidelines of international organizations such as PMI, IPMA, ISO, as well as own wide experience in implementing integrated projects and programmes.

The execution of each project of our customers is under the control of the professional teams – Project Management Units composed of specialists - the experts in specific fields of expertise. Such teams, selected considering the particular characteristics and size of a specific project, perform the organization, planning and coordination of all project activities, including the development of project documentation, procurement of equipment and materials, construction and installation, start-up and commissioning activities.  In the course of the project, the project management unit cooperates and coordinates its participants:

The achievement of Clients' requirements in the execution of projects is largely ensured by a high level of personnel qualification in the field of professional project management.

To ensure proper management of project work, we have developed and implemented a Corporate Project Management Standard (CPMS), in which we included the recommendations of a number of relevant international organizations - PMI, IPMA, ISO, as well as own experience in implementation of complex integrated projects and programmes.  To automate project management processes we use specialized software run by leading international construction and engineering companies.

The execution of each of our Clients’ project is under the control of certified project managers and qualified personnel teams - Project Management Unit, made up of professionals in specific disciplines.  Such teams, selected considering the specific character and size of a particular project, perform the organization, planning and coordination of all project activities, including the development of project documentation, obtaining of approvals and permits, procurement of equipment and materials, execution of construction and installation,  commissioning and start-up activities.  In the course of the project, the Project Management Unit cooperates and coordinates its participants:

Every complex project contains thousands of operations connected with each other by tens of thousands of links. To effectively keep track of a situation and make sound decisions in such a project, using traditional methods, without the information system and trained personnel is not realistic, and that becomes one of the most common causes of failure to meet schedule and budget.  

The use of integrated Project Management Information System allows the project team to focus on high-priority tasks (critical path activities) and concurrently keep in view an overall picture, as well as to make the most of available resources, timely coordinate activities of performers, troubleshoot conflicts and resolve the emerging issues until they developed into problems.

The project teams personnel that form our company's project management units (PMU), constantly improve their professional qualifications, including the training in specialized organizations, such as, for example, the Ukrainian Project Management Association (UPMA), and in the UTEM Training Center.
The qualifications of key personnel and project managers have been confirmed by internationally recognized certifications of project management professionals, levels "С" and "D" (under IPMA system).
In the field of professional project management the company has reached a 3rd level of technological maturity under the SR3M model system of Ukrainian Project Management Association, as confirmed by certification in 2007. Today, UTEM is one of the few companies in Ukraine and the FSU countries that has proved such a high level of project management maturity.
